Your dentures are now a big part of your appearance and like any other part of your appearance you want to make sure you are looking your best. Our team is going to give your some simple ways you can care for your dentures at home.

Our first recommendation would be to rinse your dentures daily before brushing to remove any loose foods or debris. Afterwards brush you dentures with a soft-bristled toothbrush, by doing so you will prevent the dentures from being scratched or damaged.

Did you know that your dentures can dry out? You can prevent this from happening by placing your dentures in water or a cleaning solution when you aren’t wearing them. Remember to never use hot water, this can warp and damage the dentures.

Before you place your dentures in, you can help remove plaque by brushing your gums with a soft toothbrush. Not only does this keep your gums healthy, it also increases stimulation in your gums.

When you are handling your dentures be sure you are standing over a soft surface. Dentures are extremely fragile if you were to drop them, you want to make sure they land on a surface that won’t cause them to break.

If your dentures do break, chip or become loose, please contact our office immediately to let us know. Don’t try to fix your dentures, leave it to our team to fix them up. Give us a call today at 210-761-5452 to help answer your questions about dentures!
